filled with hope

I would just like to share here what I posted on my Facebook page earlier today. Hubby and I stayed home and watched the inauguration of the new president. In any change, we can choose to be hopeful despite our differing political views, preferences, and beliefs.

I pray that all Filipinos see this day as a start to do what is right. I pray that it will start with the people at Luneta picking up their trash. Let's start with the little things. Pagsunod sa trapiko, pagtangging maglagay, paghinto sa tamang babaan at sakayan, pagtawid sa tamang lugar at marami pang maliliit na bagay but which define our country and our everyday life as filipinos. Whether we voted for him or not, let us rejoice in this day as democracy won, but democracy is not just about the presidency, it is about the people. Let change begin today with this new administration but more importantly let it begin with you and me. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas.

My hubby and I waited three and half hours to vote last May 10 and I know there are many who waited longer. We did our share in the first automated election, let us not let it end there. And yes, I voted for P-Noy.
